Elite Coaching Preparation Timeline at EKPC
At the Erik Kramer Passing Camp (EKPC), our elite coaching preparation timeline sets the foundation for success. We believe that great athletes deserve great instruction—and that starts with experienced coaches, clear objectives, and a strategic timeline. From May through the following April, every step we take builds toward helping student athletes grow into confident leaders and skilled football players.

Who Are the EKPC Coaches?
Our coaches are all former high-level college or NFL players. They’ve lived the game, taught it, and now return to pass on what they’ve learned.
- Every offensive and defensive position coach shares a passion for mentoring.
- Our coaching staff is committed to developing each athlete’s physical skillset and football IQ.
- We work with 50–55 high school student athletes annually who dream of playing beyond high school.
What Are the EKPC Objectives?
Our elite coaching preparation timeline aligns with three core goals for player development:
- Instill a Growth Process: We teach the consistent mental, physical, and emotional habits required for long-term improvement.
- Build Leadership Through Communication: Training equips coaches and players to lead on the field and in life, guided by Dr. Tim Thayne’s principles.
- Broaden Life Skills: Through workshops in mental health, financial literacy, and personal development, we help athletes and families grow off the field.
EKPC Coach Preparation: May–November 2025
Coach preparation begins with Dr. Tim Thayne’s 2-day workshop (May 31–June 1, 2025). This anchors EKPC’s communication model and equips coaches with resources—Tim’s curriculum, group coaching, and the Trustyy app—to extend learning to families.
Between May and November, our team will:
- Build long-term relationships with area youth and high school programs.
- Support local coaches in their development and avoid interfering with school transfers.
- Recruit 50 – 55 student athletes who’ve just completed their freshman football season.
- Identify key traits and skills by position and design specific drill progressions.
- Establish strong ties within the college recruiting world.
Final Prep by Mid-September 2025
We will finalize:
- Offensive/defensive terminology, alignments, snap counts, audibles, and system structure.
- Meeting and practice installations by each position coach.
- Tactic3D playbooks with telestrated, voice-over instruction for all plays.
- 10–15 drills per coach presented on video, explaining purpose and skill-building outcomes.
- Whiteboard and film sessions to enhance tactical understanding.
January–April 2026: EKPC In-Season Training
The elite coaching preparation timeline pays off during the camp season. Over three consecutive offseasons, student athletes benefit from:
- Advanced communication and leadership skills.
- Physical and psychological development.
- College recruitment support and exposure.
- Workshops on mental health, mindfulness, and life readiness.
Parents & Community Involvement
- Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend and observe all practices, presentations and workshops.
- All youth tackle, flag, and high school football players (boys and girls), coaches and families are also encouraged to attend and observe practices in person.
- The same football playing world listed above along with their families are also encouraged to attend via Zoom all special presentations and workshops.
Tampering
Any recruitment of our EKPC student athletes by any coach from a different high school program will not be tolerated. If a coach is found to be tampering with an EKPC student athlete then that coach and all coaches from that program will never be allowed back at our training location. Further, if we have any student athletes from that coach’s school, then all of those players will be expelled from our program instantly and never be allowed back. Finally, no student athlete from that high school will ever be allowed in our program.
Supporting College Recruitment
Our recruiting coordinator, Case Laing, leads this effort, utilizing a university football program database that encompasses all programs across every level. EKPC staff will:
- Enter detailed reports and telestrated video feedback on player development.
- Track three years of progress for each athlete.
- Share these evaluations with targeted college recruiters across all NCAA levels.
If you’re a student athlete, parent, or coach looking for a next-level program, the Erik Kramer Passing Camp delivers the tools, training, and mentorship to help you rise.
